Can you get keto Starbucks drinks? Why, yes! Read on to find out how.

Keto Starbucks - How-To Order Guide

Keto Starbucks Hot Beverages

Low-Carb Flat White

  • What you’ll order: Short Flat White, with half each of heavy whipping cream and steamed water, instead of steamed milk. This will make your Flat White a keto-friendly latte.
  • Estimated Macros: 55 calories, 1g net carbs, 1g protein, 5g fat

Low-Carb Mocha

  • What you’ll order: Short Mocha with skinny mocha sauce, and replace the milk with half each of heavy whipping cream and steamed water. Starbucks’ skinny mocha sauce means it’s sugar-free.
  • Estimated Macros: 55 calories, 1g net carbs, 1g protein, 5g fat

Low-Carb Latte

  • What you’ll order: Short Americano with a quarter heavy cream and three-quarters steamed water. Add foam on top. This is customized keto-friendly latte, as the regular latte uses espresso, steamed milk, and a light layer of foam.
  • Estimated Macros: 216 calories, 4g net carbs, 3g protein, 22g fat

Low-Carb Freshly Brewed Coffee

  • You can order any of Starbucks’ freshly brewed coffees as they are – which are already keto-friendly.
  • Estimated Macros (for Short drinks):
    • Pike Place Roast: 5 calories, 0g net carbs, 0g protein, 0g fat
    • Blonde Roast – 5 calories and 0g net carbs
    • Clover Brewed Coffee – 10 calories and 0g net carbs
    • Decaf Pike Place – 5 calories and 0g net carbs
    • Featured Dark Roast – 5 calories and 0g net carbs

Low-Carb Americano

  • This is also already naturally low-carb.
  • Estimated Macros: 5 calories, 1g net carbs, 0g protein, 0g fat

Low-Carb Misto

  • The Short Misto only has 5g net carbs even with the steamed milk, with it’s 1:1 ratio with freshly brewed coffee, so it’s already keto-friendly. If you’ll be ordering a larger size, request that the steamed milk be replaced by half each of heavy whipping cream and steamed water.
  • Estimated Macros (for Short size): 50 calories, 5g net carbs, 4g protein, 2g fat

Low-Carb Chai Tea Latte

  • What you’ll order: Short Chai Tea Latte using 2 Chai Tea bags, not the Chai Tea concentrate; plus 2 shots of heavy whipping cream and 2 pumps of sugar-free cinnamon dolce. This is a reconstructed Chai Tea Latte as the original uses the concentrate which has honey and added sugar.
  • Estimated Macros: 206 calories, 4g net carbs, 1g protein, 22g fat

Low-Carb Caramel Macchiato

  • What you’ll order: Short Americano with a quarter heavy whipping cream and three-quarters steamed water, plus 2 pumps of skinny vanilla syrup and extra-light caramel drizzle. This is also a customized Caramel Macchiato from scratch, as the original comes with brewed espresso, steamed milk, vanilla syrup, and caramel sauce drizzle. You can also get it with added whipped cream on top (additional 2g net carbs).
  • Estimated Macros: 123 calories, 7g net carbs, 3g protein, and 11g fat

Low-Carb White Chocolate Mocha

  • What you’ll order: Short White Mocha with a single pump (instead of double) of white chocolate mocha sauce, and replace milk with a quarter heavy whipping cream and three-quarters steamed water. Unfortunately, Starbucks doesn’t have a sugar-free white chocolate mocha sauce, so you’ll have to settle for a moderately low-carb drink and a lighter flavor. You can also choose to only drink half to further reduce your net carb intake.
  • Estimated Macros: 183 calories, 12g net carbs, 1g protein, and 16g fat

Low-Carb Vanilla Latte

  • What you’ll order: Short Vanilla Latte with 2 pumps sugar-free vanilla syrup and replace the steamed milk with a quarter heavy whipping cream and three-quarters steamed water. An alternative is to order a Short Skinny Vanilla Latte with the milk also replaced with ¼ heavy whipping cream and ¾ steamed water.
  • Estimated Macros: 216 calories, 6g net carbs, 3g protein, 22g fat

Hot Tea

  • Order any of the following Starbucks brewed teas, which has zero calories and zero grams net carbs. Ask for 2 tea bags plus 2 shots of steamed heavy whipping cream and 1 pump of sugar-free vanilla syrup. You can skip the whipping cream if you like your tea just sweetened.
    • Emperors Cloud and Mist Green Tea
    • Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea
    • Mint Majesty Herbal Tea
    • Passion Tango Herbal Tea
    • Peach Tranquility Herbal Tea
    • Royal English Breakfast Tea
    • Teavana Earl Grey Brewed Tea
    • Teavana Joy (Seasonal)
    • Teavana Organic Chai Tea
    • Youthberry White Tea

Low-Carb Starbucks Iced/Frappuccino Beverages

Low-Carb Frappuccino

  • Some of Starbucks’ flavored shots have sugar-free or skinny versions, so you can simply create your own keto frappuccino from scratch in the sugar-free flavor you like. Ask your local Starbucks what flavored shots are available sugar-free.
  • What you’ll order: Tall, blended-whip unsweetened coffee, with extra ice, 2 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup (for example), and 2 shots of heavy whipping cream. You can ask for extra whipped cream on top and your preferred low-carb spice, such as cinnamon or nutmeg. This order is a keto vanilla frappuccino.
  • Estimated Macros: 211 calories, 4g net carbs, 1g protein, 22g fat

Low-Carb Iced Tea

  • Get any of the following brewed teas on ice, in Tall size, unsweetened, and ask for Stevia.
    • Emperors Cloud and Mist Green Tea
    • Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea
    • Mint Majesty Herbal Tea
    • Passion Tango Herbal Tea
    • Peach Tranquility Herbal Tea
    • Royal English Breakfast Tea

    • Teavana Joy (Seasonal)
    • Teavana Organic Chai Tea
    • Youthberry White Tea
  • Estimated Macros: 0 calories, 0g net carbs, 0g protein, 0g fat

Low-Carb Refreshers

  • Instead of the high-carb fruit juice that is used in Starbucks’ Refreshers, you’ll create your own keto Refresher using your choice of flavored brewed tea, then add your choice of sugar-free flavored shots, and if you want added flavor, 2 shots of heavy whipping cream.
  • For the Pink Drink Refresher, you’ll order: Tall Passion Tango Herbal Tea on ice, unsweetened, plus 2 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup and 2 shots of heavy whipping cream.
  • Estimated Macros: 206 calories, 4g net carbs, 1g protein, 22g fat

Low-Carb Iced Caramel Macchiato

  • You can only get this moderately-low carb, unfortunately, because the original recipe calls for 3 high-carb ingredients: milk, vanilla syrup, and caramel drizzle.
  • What you’ll order: Tall Americano on ice with 2 pumps of sugar-free vanilla syrup, 2 shots of heavy whipping cream, extra-light caramel drizzle on top, no whipped cream on top.
  • Estimated Macros (with whipped cream on top): 274 calories, 7g net carbs, 3g protein, and 28g fat

Low-Carb Iced Coffee

  • What you’ll order: any of Starbucks’ brewed coffees on ice, unsweetened, ask for Stevia.
  • Estimated Macros: 0 calories, 0g net carbs, 0g protein, 0g fat

More Keto Starbucks Tips

  • Because you’ll be ordering customized drinks, it’s better to write down your order to make sure the barista gets everything right.
  • Always get the smallest size drink, whenever possible, as this will have the lowest carb content.
  • For any beverage that uses milk, replace it with either half each of heavy whipping cream and steamed water, or a quarter heavy whipping cream and three-quarters steamed water.
  • For any flavored beverage, always ask for the skinny/sugar-free flavored shot, 2 pumps max. Depending on the location, your sugar-free flavored syrup options may include:
    • Vanilla
    • Caramel
    • Mocha
    • Hazelnut
    • Cinnamon Dolce
    • Peppermint (during the holiday season)
  • Instead of the sugary toppings, ask for any of the following low-carb spices:
    • Nutmeg
    • Cinnamon
    • Sea Salt
    • Pumpkin Spice
